RIYADH: Cisco has announced a strategic partnership with the Saudi Federation For Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) to develop the skills of 8,000 trainers working in the field of cybersecurity and programming, through the Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad), SPA reported.

As part of its skills-building efforts, Cisco will develop the competencies of the SAFCSP trainers, including skills related to both Cisco DevNet and Python programs.

The Cisco NetAcad program in the Kingdom has one of the highest rates of female participation in the world, with female participation reaching 32 percent in the Kingdom, SPA said.

According to a MoU signed in 2018, this partnership will result in Cisco and the SAFCSP improving the digital capabilities of Tuwaiq Academy- the first academy for advanced technology in Saudi Arabia. and the CyberHub platform, the first of its kind for students here.
