Boubyan Bank, Al-Fajr holding, Yara House patronize the stocks' portfolio

KUWAIT, Sept 16 (KUNA) -- Boubyan Bank, Yara House Company, Al-Fajir holding company will join the list of sponsors of the seminar on effective Islamic securities portfolio due on Sunday, Al-Fajr Company for administrative-economic consultation said Saturday.

The sponsoring companies strongly believe in the private sector's role in supporting the economic and social development, cultural and scientific activities and creating rational investment opportunities in a competing world, the company's General Manager Omar Al-Hassawi said in a statement.

Al-Hassawi said the companies have taken part in the exercise in order to reaffirm the importance of studying Islamic investment instruments from a monetary and objective perspective. He added Islamic financial industry has become crucial in the Arab stock markets.

Islamic financial assets now exceed the current investment instruments which are used by traditional banks; however they are not sufficient to handle the huge volume of liquidity, he said.

The seminar will convey a new perspective of the Islamic stocks portfolio and ways of raising the level of the financial efficiency in financial companies. The Islamic financial portfolios are ready to be one of the active investment tools in stock markets.
