MANAMA: The Premier has issued instructions to start work on 45 development projects worth BD22 million, as part of a plan to upgrade infrastructure and improve services.
These include the construction of central markets in Jidhafs, Khalifa Town and Isa Town, revamping suqs in Riffa and Jidhafs, upgrading Rayya Avenue, the entrances and exits of Suq Waqif and the Arad Industrial zone.
Coating of roads at Zayed Town and Isa Town and setting up gardens and playgrounds in Zallaq, Zayed Town, Hamad Town, Salman Town, Dair, Samaheej and Hoora also featured on the list of projects. The details were discussed during the weekly Cabinet session.
