Dubai: The Arabtex/Max Bogl joint venture has won two contracts worth Dh242 million to build a passenger terminal and air traffic control tower at the Jebel Ali Airport, part of the $30 billion Dubai World Central (DWC) development, the company said.

This is in addition to the Dh278 million contract awarded in September to Arabtec/Max Bogl joint venture to carry out the cargo terminal building works at DWC and bring their DWC orderbook to Dh520 million.

Riad Kamal, managing director of Arabtec Holding PJSC, said, "The participation of Arabtec in the construction of Jabel Ali International Airport marks Arabtec's track record and commitment toward its clients to deliver projects on time, and to the highest quality."

Arabtec/Max Bogl joint venture was formed equally between Arabtec Construction LLC and the German company Max Bogl.

Dubai Civil Aviation is the client and Dar Al Handasah and Paris-based ADPi are the masterplanners of the massive project.
