A statement issued by the Iraqi Education Ministry quoted Adeeb as saying that the industrial governmental companies should be developed through the contribution of the private sector in addition to the sectors of archaeology and religious tourism because of their economic returns.

The statement added that Iraq's economy needs more care and attention.

Adeeb, who belongs to the Dawa Party led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, called on universities to establish centers for economic research, adding that Iraq will establish a university specialized in administrative and economic development science.
