Exhibition management company Al Nimr International Exhibition Organizers was recently presented the Al Roya Business Award for 'Best Business Enterprise - Private Sector.'
The award, according to a press release, was presented by H E Dr Rasheed al Safi Khamis al Huraibi, chairman of the Tender Board, at the Crowne Plaza Muscat.
The Al Roya Business Awards is an initiative to explore successful developmental enterprises, as well as identify creative ideas. The awards aim to establish economic business models in the development of the Omani economy.
Al Nimr emerged the winner for the Infra Oman Exhibition, the first edition of which was held from September 20-22, 2011.
This exhibition put the spotlight on infrastructure projects that are under construction and will soon be implemented as part of the government's strategy to diversify the economy and develop all industry sectors.
Infra Oman was a platform for contractors and developers to meet, thus giving them an opportunity to present their projects and achievements and source their requirements.
Infra Oman has grown significantly since its debut last year, thus establishing itself as the sultanate's leading and only infrastructure and industrial projects exhibition.
Salim Omar al Hashmi, CEO, Al Nimr, accepted the award, and in his reply said, "This award highlights the high standards of excellence shown and maintained by the company in the field of exhibitions."
Melwin D'Cunha, director, Al Nimr, said, "This is yet another feather in the cap of Al Nimr Expo. This is the first time Al Nimr Expo participated in the awards and I am pleased we won the award for the Best Business Enterprise."
