AMMAN — More than 100,000 tourists visited the north Jordanian governorate of Ajloun during the Eid Al Adha holiday from all over the Kingdom, according to Ajloun Tourism Director Mohammad Al Deik.

The nice weather during the holidays and the enchanting nature of Ajloun helped boost inbound domestic tourism, he explained. Some JD1.5 million was allocated by the Ministry of Tourism for the development of Ajloun’s tourist facilities, he said.

In addition to several tenders made to develop the governorate’s infrastructure and touristic establishments.

The governorate houses 220 tourist attractions, including historical, natural and cultural sites, from the forest reservation to Mar Elias and the Windmill Valley (Wadi Al Tawahin).
