SOCHI, Russia- Russia plans to supply up to 1 million tonnes of grain to Sudan this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Sudanese counterpart, Omar Hassan al-Bashir at the start of their talks in Russian southern city of Sochi on Thursday.

Russian wheat supplies to Sudan totalled 702,000 tonnes in January-August, the Kremlin said in materials prepared for the meeting.
