Amman, July 17 (Petra) -- The Higher Steering Committee entrusted with following up a comprehensive master plan for roads in the Kingdom convened on Sunday.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahia Kasbi, with the participation of representatives from European Investment Bank, World Bank, local and international consultants, public universities and ministries.
The European Investment Bank funded the comprehensive plan scheme with 2 million euro. The study aims to develop a scientific mechanism to evaluate the Kingdom's 7500 km of roads. The study also aims to determine roads' needs of maintenance as well as the need for new roads.
