Dubai, May 8, 2012: The Metallic Equipment Group, a supplier of high-quality hardware products and services, celebrated yesterday the opening of its new showroom in Dubai. This marks the expansion of the company's operations and represents a significant step in its strategy to establish a retail network spanning the UAE and the region.

Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, and further enhancing this neighbourhood with renowned names in interior architecture and design, the new showroom is a unique destination in the world of home interiors, as it is dedicated specifically to doorware.

Since its foundation in 1969, the Metallic Equipment Group's mission has been to provide outstanding quality and innovation to the market. The company has been working exclusively with brands that have an inherent understanding of how to create products that are both functional, innovative and iconic, ensuring in the process that its name is at the forefront of premium homeware design in the region.

Commenting on the launch of the new showroom, Yazan Kahale, COO, stated his delight of opening his second showroom in Dubai: "We are excited at the prospect of expanding our presence in Dubai, which truly reflects the sustained growth of our business in the GCC region."

The new concept showroom will have on display a myriad of doorware design lines from the US, Italy and Germany -  such as Enrico Cassina, Omporro, Valli&Valli, Linea Cali, Bosetti Marella, Baldwin, Viman and Fusital, to name but a few - ready to replace the standard door handles, knobs and levers.

Not as permanent as wall fixtures and not as definitive a taste statement as furniture, door handles, levers and knobs have been typically overlooked and highly standardized in homes.

However, the rapid growth of the property market in recent years has brought a renewed focus on home interior and decor, and doorware too has started to become increasingly important, as more and more home owners recognise the quality, style and sophistication doorware can bring to an interior setting.

The Metallic Equipment showroom is open Saturday to Thursday from 9am - 9pm.
