JEDDAH: Jeddah Municipality is about to start renewing 17,742 shop licenses this year across 14 branch municipalities.
Shop owners can renew via the Jeddah Municipality website using specific formats, with valid ID cards needed and their proofs, as well as commercial registers of the companies and rent contracts. These must be certified by the Chamber of Trade and Industry.
For registration, shops must have visible placards in their locations as well as other documents to prove the use of the establishment as well as detailed plans of the ceilings of shops especially in commercial complexes. Owners must have documents to show that they can practice the activity and sell in the shops.
There are 31 municipal service centers that offer services to citizens and these can complete documentation quickly with clients and can follow up according to Almadinah.
