KIEV- Ukrainian grain exports have reached 17.6 million tonnes so far in the 2018/2019 season, compared with 16.4 million by the same point of the previous season, the agriculture ministry said on Wednesday.

Ukraine has said it plans to harvest 68 million tonnes of grain this year versus 61.3 million in 2017, and the ministry has said exports could rise to 47 million tonnes in the July 2018 to June 2019 season from 39.4 million a season before.

The ministry said Ukraine had already exported 5.2 million tonnes of corn compared with 2.9 million tonnes in the same period of last season, while wheat shipments fell to 9 million tonnes from 9.6 million.

Grains, vegetable oils and oilseeds dominate Ukrainian agricultural exports.
