Sharjah, UAE: Expanding the reach of its disruptive digital solutions for people and businesses, UAE-based start-up re.life today announced its partnership with both Union Paper Mills UAE and Zero Waste recycling UAE to support the easy disposal of bulky, heavy items and encourage the UAE’s transition to a circular economy.

re.life is a next-generation digital ecosystem that provides smart platforms to simplify business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions, while Union Paper Mills UAE offers waste collection and disposal services as part of a wider vision for sustainability and commits to reduce the carbon footprint in the region. Zero Waste Recycling aims to be the one-stop facility for all the country's recycling needs.

Building on each other’s capabilities, re.life will offer Dubai residents an on-demand heavy and bulky disposal service through their re.life collect mobile application. Residents in Dubai can use the mobile application to provide information about their items to be disposed of, select the pick-up date and time, and confirm all of the logistics. The bulky items will then be delivered to the facilities of both Union Paper Mills and Zero Waste for material recovery and recycling.

All of re.life’s services are designed to meet the demands of a digital economy and promote efficiency and immediacy as fundamental decision drivers.

Salim Sultan Al Owais, Chief Executive Officer, re.life said: “re.life is a community-oriented digital ecosystem and we are working with partners like Union Paper Mills UAE and Zero Waste Recycling UAE to disrupt traditional markets such as logistics and provide customers with unprecedented ease and convenience.

We offer seamless, on-demand solutions that are making an impact and supporting recycling and transport of heavy, bulky items in the UAE in a way that is easy and hassle-free for residents and businesses. We are living up to our promise and truly reimagining the way people live their lives and go about their daily business.”

Shabbir Haideri, Group General Manager at Union Paper Mills said, “Union Paper Mills is committed towards reducing carbon footprints, and as one of the pioneers who introduced the recycling industry to the GCC we’re delighted to be able to partner with re.life on this project.” He went on to add, “to be able to help facilitate the transportation and recycling of bulky items fits perfectly with our ethos as we continue to help convert waste into productive use.”

Parsad Duja Bhandare, CEO at Zero Waste Recycling, commented: “Our mission is to eliminate and recycle waste and provide the public with a clean environment for the present and future. Partnering with re.life helps us accelerate that mission and enables UAE residents and local businesses to work together for a greener tomorrow.”

The first re.life platform, re.life collect, was designed to evolve the informal logistics sector, by organising the current market structure to enable better coordination between service providers and consumers. The digital platform replaces the traditional ‘pick-up services’ with a secure digital platform, leading to instant access for transport services with reasonable pricing based on distance and complexity.
