Cairo -  Egypt's daily production capacity of natural gas reached an average of 7.2 billion cubic feet (bcf), Reuters reported citing a recent statement by the Egyptian cabinet.

In September, Egypt's production of natural gas increased to 7 bcf, compared to 6.8 bcf by the end of June 2019.

Egypt's natural gas supplies have grown rapidly and steadily in recent years, turning the country from a net importer to an exporter in late 2018 thanks to a number of large discoveries, especially in the Middterenian Sea.
