SINGAPORE  - Oman crude futures on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange jumped more than $6 a barrel on Wednesday to settle at $88.96 a barrel, overtaking ICE Brent for a second straight session, data from the exchanges showed.

The Middle East sour crude benchmark typically trades below low-sulphur Brent due to its lower quality.

That puts November DME Oman's premium to Dubai swaps at $10.48 a barrel, up from $4.22 the previous day, and likely a record premium for the Middle East sour benchmark, according to Reuters calculations and trade sources.
