UAE-based Response Plus Holding, which is 40 percent owned by Abu Dhabi’s conglomerate International Holding Company (IHC) has acquired Health Tech Training for 9.8 million dirhams ($2.7 million). 

The onsite medical staffing company also confirmed plans to extend the branches and services offered by the newly acquired business in several markets next year, including the UAE, India and Oman. 

Established in the UAE in July 2014, Health Tech provides trainings for healthcare professionals, with courses offered ranging from infection control to fire and safety.  

“The aim of this acquisition is to expand services in a cost-effective manner into the training sector …We will be opening five new branches of Health Tech Training centres in Cochin, Dubai, Dammam, Addis Ababa and Muscat within one year,” said Tom Louis, CEO of Response Plus Holdings. 

Accredited by the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety Institute and the European Resuscitation Council, among others, Health Tech offers several curated courses for workers in the medical field. 

Response Plus made its debut on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on September 14.  It has recently announced its expansion plans into Saudi Arabia and India.
