Cairo – Sinai Cement registered standalone net losses of EGP 252.66 million in the first half (H1) of 2021, up by 2.83% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 245.69 million.

The cement producer's net sales surged to EGP 639.93 million in the January-June period from EGP 370.61 million in the prior-year period, according to a bourse disclosure on Monday.

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, Sinai Cement incurred consolidated net losses of EGP 147.97 million, up by 40% from EGP 105.8 million in Q1-20.

The standalone net losses widened to EGP 105.44 million in the January-March period from EGP 78.16 million in the same period in 2020.
