Dubai - The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and Nasdaq Dubai are implementing Investor Relations (IR) excellence programme to boost the relationship between companies listed on Dubai’s capital markets and investors.

The programme embraces several initiatives, including the international investor roadshows organised annually since 2007, smart solutions that connect listed companies with investors, and the IR Graduate Programme for Emiratis, according to a press release on Wednesday.

The two bourses have announced about their programme during the Middle East IR Society (MEIRA) 2020 Annual Conference and Awards that concluded on Wednesday in Dubai.

The CEO of DFM, Hassan Al Serkal, said: "Our efforts have been instrumental in making an IR mandatory function as part of the implementation of the corporate governance framework."

Meanwhile, the CEO of Nasdaq Dubai and Deputy CEO of DFM, Hamed Ali, remarked: "These continuing efforts are essential in attracting new investment and reinforcing Dubai’s leading position as a dynamic capital markets hub through enabling companies in the region to leverage Dubai’s multi-platform capital markets."
