ArabFinance: Egypt reported 1,132 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, May 8th, raising the total count to 236,272 since the pandemic started in February 2020.

66 new deaths were reported, while death toll hit 13,845.

Egypt currently has 176,363 total recoveries after 435 new patients have been discharged from quarantine hospitals, the health ministry noted.

This is the country’s highest daily count and the first above 1,000 in three months.
