$1,000,000 Bahrain bank bonanza for Australian woman

MANAMA: An Australian woman has won $1,000,000 in cash as part of National Bank of Bahrain’s (NBB) Al Watani Savings Scheme.

She also won a luxurious villa in Riffa Views in addition to $5,000 monthly salary for five years, which is part of the scheme’s “Dream Prize”.

Lynn Adriana St Lawrence was named the winner in a ceremony held last night at The Avenues Bahrain.

“Having arrived in Bahrain from Australia exactly 20 years ago, this is a great way to celebrate that anniversary,” said Ms Lawrence.

“Winning the Al Watani prize is more than I could have ever dreamed of.”

The bank also announced 12 additional cash prize winners for December.

The winners are Ebrahim Ahmed, May Saleem, Mohammad Amez, Noor Ebrahim, Alyaa Saeed, Abdulghafoor Ebrahim, Redha Ali, Fatima Hassan, Yusuf Ebrahim, Saleh Mohammed, Mohammed Abbas and Afarin Aman.

NBB retail banking head Subah Abdullatif Al Zayani congratulated all the winners.
