Saudi Arabia said that traffic violators who have failed to pay fines will be stopped at the border ports while trying to exit the Kingdom.

This will be applicable to all vehicles bearing Gulf number plates (including Kuwaiti) from November 1 this year, traffic director of the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia, Colonel Engineer Ali Al Zahrani said.

The violators will not be allowed to exit through the border ports unless they pay fines for traffic violations committed inside Saudi Arabia, Arab Times quoted Al Rai daily reports.

Giving details of the border ports, Al Zahrani said in a statement to Al Akhbariya TV channel that under the guidance of the Minister of Interior (Saudi Arabia), beginning of next month traffic violators who have not paid their fines will be stopped at Al Rigae, Khafji and Batha land ports.
