KUWAIT CITY: The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry commenting on what has been published by the social media outlets showing a traffic officer issuing a citation to a vehicle which is seen parked on the pavement said there is nothing wrong in issuing citations for vehicles parked on paved sidewalks, reports Al-Anba daily.

The department said motorists take advantage of the sidewalks and public roads to park their vehicles in violation of the law and this leads to traffic congestion.

The department has called on all motorists to adhere to parking laws and not to park vehicles in the non-designated places.
