The Labour Under-Secretary called upon private health establishments to work towards the cancellation of sub-contracts of expatriate manpower, thereby providing employment opportunities for Omani job seekers.

On their part, the directors of human resources at private health establishments showed their willingness to cooperate with the Labour Ministry to carry out expat-replacement plans to ensure the availability of jobs for Omani job seekers, contribute to their stability and help regulate the labour market.

It was agreed during the meeting to form a joint working panel from the three above-mentioned parties (Labour Ministry, OCCI and Health Ministry) to study challenges and difficulties facing the private health sector.

He explained that the Labour Ministry works in cooperation with all government departments that supervise some economic sectors with a view to starting replacement of expatriates by Omanis.
