DUBAI- Empower, Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, announced that it has connected 10,650 Refrigeration Tonnes capacity of cooling service to the Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences, at Palm Jumeirah.

This is for the new expansion phase of the hotel as part its preparation for Expo 2020, and the project has connected with district cooling service in May 2019.

As per the recent announcement, 85 percent has already been completed of the renovation and expansion project. Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said that district cooling services have become an essential element for major real estate projects, locally and internationally, due to their unique features and benefits.

Additionally, district cooling systems are environmentally friendly and contribute to enhancing energy efficiency and saving energy, as it uses 50 percent less energy compared to conventional cooling systems.
