Bahrain Financing Company launches new Smart Money app and website

New app and website also has additional features enabling customers to add new beneficiaries instantly through an OTP

  

Bahrain Financing Company (BFC) has announced the launch of its new and improved BFC Smart Money app and website, as part of ongoing efforts to ease the remittance process for the kingdom’s residents.

BFC is the kingdom’s first money transfer and exchange company to introduce the digital on-boarding feature on its remittance app and website allowing customers to instantly complete the e-KYC (know your customer) process, without the need of visiting a branch.

The new app and website also has additional features enabling customers to add new beneficiaries instantly through an OTP (one-time password) authentication, bio-metric and facial recognition log-in, automated rate alerts and enhanced security.

“This is just the beginning of BFC’s digital transformation, as we continue to strive forward in this digital age,” said BFC general manager Deepak Nair.

“BFC’s Smart Money has become a household name over the years in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and we are delighted to enhance the features of the product, making mobile money transfer services easier, better customer experience and more convenient for the customer, especially during these challenging times.

Other functionalities of the new Smart Money app include OTP log-in, which enhances security for customers and the ability to set rate alert notifications to receive an email when the currency hits the customer’s preferred rate.

These are on top of the existing features which include a convenient currency converter, downloadable transaction history and bill payments with improved user interface.

The new app can be downloaded on the App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei App Gallery.

Whether the customer is using a smartphone or is physically present at a storefront, BFC is committed to providing convenience suited to customer needs.

BFC has a retail network of 50 branches across Bahrain and it specialises in sending money worldwide safely and quickly, covering more than 46,000 locations in 30 countries.

Its global reach is extended to over 200 countries and territories through its partnership with MoneyGram, an international money transfer operator.
