Dubai: The Global Trade Development Week EMEA will attract business and government leaders, entrepreneurs and academics when it runs between October 27 and 29 in Dubai, according to a statement on Monday.

The event, which will be held in Emirates Towers, is expected to be the world’s largest trade facilitation, development, investment and customs programme.

“The UAE looks forward to hosting a full programme of events that tackle today’s most challenging trade and development issues,” said Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, the event’s official patron, in a statement.

The event will bring together over 600 delegates from the areas of trade, development, economic zones, trade finance, industrial development, real estate, global customs and trade facilitation. Regions participating at the event include Africa, the Americas, the Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

The event will open with a Ministers and Trade Leaders VIP plenary, followed by four summits that cover ‘Global Free Trade and Special Economic Zones’, ‘Trade Finance and Industrial Development’, ‘Corporate Real Estate Leaders’ and ‘Global Customs and Trade Facilitation’.
