Abu Dhabi has updated its “green list” of countries from where passengers can travel directly without the requirement to quarantine upon arrival.

Effective September 6, the list will include Indonesia, the only new destination added to the green category since the last update that took effect from September 1.

The number of new COVID-19 daily cases in the Asian state has dropped from more than 48,000 in July to a little over 8,000 this week.

Abu Dhabi has recently started expanding its green list, following the reopening of borders and easing of infections in several territories worldwide.

On September 1, countries in the Middle East region, including Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Jordan, were added to the list.

The “green list” is updated regularly. All travellers from countries included in the list will be exempt from mandatory quarantine after landing in the UAE capital.

Abu Dhabi announced last week the lifting of the quarantine requirement for all vaccinated travellers.
