Abu Dhabi Duty Free launches summer "Scratch & Win" promotion for a chance to win gold instantly

Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi Duty Free has launched a major summer Gold promotional campaign running from August 01st through 30th September in all terminals at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The Gold promotion is based on an instant "Scratch & Win" mechanism with a total of 3.5kg of gold to be won in various weights. There are 123 prizes available.

Abu Dhabi Duty Free customers will get the opportunity to win the gold prizes when they shop and dine at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Customers must spend either AED 150 on food and confectionery, or AED 500 on perfumes and cosmetics to receive a scratch card for their chance of an instant win. As part of the campaign, Abu Dhabi Duty Free stores and the event zones will be decorated with a gold theme, and sales staff will be wearing traditional Emirati gold accessories to enhance the look and feel of the summer "Scratch & Win" Gold promotion.

About Abu Dhabi Airports
Abu Dhabi Airports is a public joint-stock company wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government. It was incorporated by Amiri Decree number 5, issued on 4 March 2006, to spearhead the development of the Emirate's aviation infrastructure. In September 2006, Abu Dhabi Airports assumed responsibility for the operation and management of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain International Airports. In 2008, Abu Dhabi Airports added Al Bateen Executive Airport (an exclusive business aviation airport), as well as Sir BaniYas and Delma Island Airports to its portfolio. These airports are geared to serve the various segments of air travelers, the aviation marketplace, and will help contribute to Abu Dhabi's development as a destination for both business and leisure tourism.

Currently under way is the multi-billion dollar re-development and expansion of Abu Dhabi International Airport designed to increase the overall capacity of the airport to 45 million passengers per year. As part of this redevelopment, a second runway and a third terminal have been completed.
