Kuwait – Global Investment House (Global), a regional Asset Management and Investment Banking firm headquartered in Kuwait with offices in major capital markets in the MENA region, was awarded “Best MENA Equity Fund” and “Best Sector Fund in the Region” by the “MENA Fund Managers Performance Awards”.

The awards were presented in an event held on Tuesday 29th of January 2019 in Dubai and attended by professionals from the regional investment and asset management industry. Bader Al-Ghanim, Executive Vice President and Head of MENA Asset Management at Global received the awards.

The Global GCC Large Cap Fund was named “Best MENA equity Fund”. The fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of large cap stocks listed on the GCC stock exchanges. The fund has outperformed its respective index since its inception in 2005 by 70% (Fund: 63.8%, Benchmark: -6.1%)

Furthermore, Global EPADI Fund was named “Best Sector Fund in the Region”. The fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing in companies principally engaged in energy, petrochemicals, and downstream industries listed on the Arabian stock exchanges. The fund has outperformed its respective benchmark since its inception in 2006 by 14.3% (Fund: 2.8%, Benchmark: -11.4%)

Our stock selection processes along with the investment strategy resulted in outperforming the funds we manage their respective benchmarks".
