Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah Police have reminded motorists to take advantage of the 50 per cent traffic fine discount grace period, which ends onFebruary 28.

Police forces across the country and Ministry of Interior (MoI) have been regularly posting reminders of social media, urging motorists to avail the offer before it ends.

However, Abu Dhabi Police have given residents up until March 1 to take advantage of the grace period.

There are multiple ways in which the fines can be paid including the Ministry of Interior's smart application"MOI" in addition to traffic and licensing service centres as well as other branches at comprehensive police stations throughout the UAE and technical inspection stations.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, directed the Ministry of Interior to slash all traffic fines by 50 per cent starting fromDecember 1, one day prior to the 47thUAE National Day.

Police have stressed that the deadline is not extendable.
