IHG Hotels & Resorts announced on Tuesday a new hotel project in Saudi Arabia - InterContinental Riyadh King Fahed Road - as part of a Master Development Agreement (MDA) with RIVA Development Company via its wholly owned subsidiary RIVA Hospitality for Hotel Services Company.
 
IHG said in a statement that the new hotel, expected to open in March 2025, is the second of seven hotels plannned with RIVA Development Company across the Kingdom, the first being Hotel Indigo Riyadh King Abdallah Road.
 
InterContinental Riyadh King Fahed Road will comprise of a 250-room hotel and a 150-unit hotel apartment component, the statement said.
 
IHG currently operates 38 hotels across 5 brands in Saudi Arabia, including: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza,  Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and voco with a further 20 hotels in the development pipeline due to open within the next three to five years.
