L&T Valves, a part of Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T), is planning to start manufacturing valves in Saudi Arabia.

Mahesh Joshi, Chief Executive and Director, L&T Valves said the project would support the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) programme.

Saudi Aramco's IKTVA programme aims to achieve 70 percent localisation of all its spending by end-2021, according to its website.

"To focus more on the Gulf and ensure outstanding services to the region, L&T Valves is shortly starting the manufacture of valves at our facility in Jubail, Saudi Arabia...," said Joshi in a press statement announcing the company's participation in the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).

"For us, ADIPEC represents a great platform to connect with the most important players and reaffirm our commitment towards the region and reinforce ties with our major stake holders," he said, adding that L&T Valves has been associated with the event since 2013.

L&T Valves has worked with all major end-users in the region including ADNOC, BAPCO, Dubai Petroleum, ENOC, KNPC, KOC, ORPIC and PDO, according to the statement.
