JEDDAH - With its prime position in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), the new global gateway to high-growth markets in the GCC region and East Africa, Industrial Valley is well-placed to serve global trade.

The Valley is connected to King Abdullah Port, the Haramain high-speed railway network, the planned Saudi Landbridge project for freight, and the national highway network.

Industrial Valley CEO Ayman Youssef Mansi was one of the speakers during the first day of the recently concluded Makkah Economic Forum.

He said that Industrial Valley is a key driver of the KAEC economy, and the fastest-growing logistics and light manufacturing hub in the region.

“It has attracted more than 120 leading local and international companies that have chosen to establish manufacturing plants and logistics facilities there,” he said.

“The seaport not only serves (Saudi Arabia) but also global markets in East Africa and all parts of the world,” he added.

“We are also working on training and absorbing national youths. We have set up a program called ‘Ambition,’ which has so far trained about 3,000 Saudis.”

The goal, he said, is to become a leading international destination for logistics industries.
