CAIRO- Egypt's reserves of wheat are sufficient to meet the country's needs for four months, state news agency MENA quoted Supply Minister Ali Moselhy as saying on Thursday.

Moselhy said vegetable oils were enough for more than 3.7 months and sugar reserves were sufficient for 3.7 months, revising down an estimate from earlier this week that sugar reserves were enough for six months.

State buyer ESIIC called for an international purchase tender this week for 100,000 tonnes of raw sugar, baffling some traders who saw the country as already having a large stockpile.
