Saudi Arabia - The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) in Bahrain has invited leading construction companies to submit their bids for the building and construction works of King Abdullah Medical City.
This medical city was instructed to be launched by the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, according to a statement on Sunday.
“King Abdullah Medical City project, paid for through a SAR 1 billion grant from the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, will be built on a one million square meter plot of land donated by His Majesty King Hamad,” the statement added.
In addition to 15 operating rooms and quality support medical services, the medical city will boast 300 beds and a full range of outpatient clinics.

“Dr Al Ohaly explained that the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City will be a medical destination for the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC countries and will be an educational lighthouse and an advanced medical centre to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to citizens of the GCC countries,” the statement added.
