ArabFinance: Arabian Food Industries Company (Domty) (DOMT) turned to loss during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, according to the companys statement to the Egyptian Exchange.

Consolidated net loss stood at EGP 3.43 million in Q1 2021, versus a consolidated net profit of EGP 32.09 million in the same period of the prior year.

Meanwhile, the company suffered an EGP 4.9 million in standalone net loss during the first three months of 2021, against a consolidated net profit worth EGP 29.1 million in the corresponding period of the prior year.

In 2020, the company reported a consolidated net profit before minority interest stood at EGP 157.96 million.

The Egypt-based company is engaged in the production and sale of dairy products. The companys offerings include a range of cheese products, such as Tetra Pak cheese, plastic tubes cheese, mozzarella cheese, and spread cheese, as well as milk products and juices.
