Dubai Airports has made it more convenient for airline passengers to travel safely with the installation of vending machines stuffed with personal protection equipment (PPE) at Dubai International (DXB).

The dispensers, which contain masks, gloves and sanitizers, are located in the departure halls of DXB’s Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

“At [Dubai International], it’s now easier for travelers to obtain personal protective equipment (PPE), thanks to special vending machines,” Dubai Airports announced on social media.

“The machines dispense PPE kits containing a mask and a pair of gloves and two varieties of sanitizers,” Dubai Airports said.

The installation of the vending facilities is the latest initiative of Dubai Airports to ensure the safety of travelers departing and transiting through the world’s busiest aviation hub.

Airlines in the UAE have recently resumed some inbound and outbound passenger flights as countries around the world are starting to reopen their economies from coronavirus lockdowns.

Dubai Airports has recently implemented a series of precautionary measures following the resumption of flights, including protective plexiglass at check-in and immigration counters, thermal and temperature screening, social distancing markers and increased levels of sanitization throughout the airport.

Passengers are required to wear the appropriate PPE and arrive at the airport four hours prior to departure, allowing time for additional security measures.
