ArabFinance: The Egyptian health ministry reported 588 new COVID-19 infections and 49 more fatalities on February 27th.

The new divs increased the total count of the cases to 181,829 and the death toll to 10,639 since the pandemic started.

Egypt registered 140,460 total recoveries after 533 new patients have been discharged from quarantine hospitals, the health ministry noted.

Authorities have earlier approved the emergency use of AstraZeneca’s Covishield, Sputnik V and AstraZeneca from South Korea, and Sinopharm vaccines.
