This would allow customers to file health insurance claims through digital platforms provided by the company at any time and from anywhere.

Health insurance cards will be available to customers through their mobiles, and they will be able to get immediate approvals for required medical procedures and upload paid medical bills for reimbursement processing through the application of the company, it said.

The digital health insurance card will be accepted by all medical service providers of the Health 360º network that is spread throughout the kingdom and includes 7,600 hospitals and health clinics worldwide.

Commenting, Takaful International Company chief executive Essam Al Ansari said: “The service comes as part of the company’s digital transformation started three years ago when it was the first to launch digital motor insurance certificate. We were also the first to launch an application that provides insurance solutions through the mobile.”

It is hoped that all the paper documents and traditional transactions will be replaced with digital documents that save effort and time, he added.
