Riyadh – Mubasher: Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) suspended operations in three of its units for periodic turnaround maintenance.

The three units are Acetic Acid Plant of International Acetate Company (IAC), Vinyl Acetate Monomer Plant of the International Vinyl Acetate Company (IVC), and Carbon Monoxide Plant of International Gases Company (IGC), according to the company’s filing to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) on Sunday.

IAC will resume production after six weeks, while IVC and IGC will commence work after three weeks and four weeks, respectively.

Sipchem noted that the financial impact of this scheduled turnaround maintenance will be announced once the activity is completed, and it will be reflected on the financials of the third quarter of 2019.

“The company has taken the necessary actions to eliminate any potential impact on its customers,” the statement highlighted.
