Jeddah:The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB), will for the first time gather its key global finance partners for the inaugural ITFC Partners Forum 2019: Investing for Impact in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  on 5th December 2019. 

In 2018, ITFC, a key subsidiary of IsDB, celebrated more than 10 years of success, providing an opportunity to reflect on its continued strategic objective, being to promote economic development across OIC member countries as the preferred provider of trade solutions. In recognition of this important milestone, ITFC CEO Eng. Hani Salem Sonbol will steer a lively and engaging agenda in recognition of the partners who are key to helping ITFC achieve its mission across OIC member countries worldwide.

Under the auspices of H.E Dr. Bandar Hajjar, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB), the one-day event which will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, will play host to several international, regional and local financial institutions, funds, banks and government departments and Ministers. Already confirmed are; H.E. Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Arab Republic of Egypt; H.E. Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Minister for Economic Affairs, Government of Pakistan; alongside delegates from key players in the banking and finance industry.

Eng. Hani Salem Sonbol commented on the upcoming event: “After 11 years of continued growth and success in achieving our mission to be the catalyst for the development of trade among OIC member countries, it is only right that we should convene such an important group of stakeholders. The organizations attending on 5th December are undeniably the foundations to our work, helping us succeed in achieving our goals in advancing trade and improving lives across the globe. We look forward to sharing this recognition with them all.”

The forum agenda will include an opening session featuring keynote speeches from several Governors (Ministers) of member countries of IsDB, followed by an interactive presentation on the achievements of ITFC and its partners in trade finance operations, two high-level panel discussions, and networking platform among the delegates.
