Sharjah:
Sharjah is playing host to two significant trade events targeting the regional polyurethane and rubber industries at the same time.

Organised by TechnoBiz, an international resource centre for polymer industries, the inaugural editions of the PU Tech Arab 2019 and Arab Rubber Expo 2019 got under way at Expo Centre Sharjah on Wednesday (Oct 9).

Positioned as important meeting points for regional industries with emphasis on providing business opportunities and facilitating knowledge sharing, the events will conclude on Thursday (Oct 10).

“The rising consumption of polymers is a corollary to overall economic development of the country and its growth prospects. In the country and rest of the region, the flourishing construction and automotive industries are key demand drivers of the polyurethane and rubber industries. The twin events of PU Tech Arab 2019 and Arab Rubber Expo 2019 will serve as a key meeting point for the regional industry representatives,” said Mr. Peram Prasada Rao

General Manager, TechnoBiz Communications Co., Ltd, the oragnizer of the event.

The events include two verticals targeting the rubber, latex and tyre segments, and polyurethane and foam sectors, besides conferences, research/innovation zones, training courses, buyer guides, reference publications, industry clinics, networking sessions and a job fair.

"We are happy to partner with Thailand's TechnoBiz Group, which is into organising trade fairs & specialised forums, and providing training courses and consulting services around the globe. Sharjah being the manufacturing hub of the UAE, Expo Centre Sharjah offered the perfect landing point for TechnoBiz. The event is sure to help regional players meet under a single roof, explore new technologies, share information, plan growth strategies and network with local, regional and overseas companies,” said Mr. Saif Mohammad Al Midfa- CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

The trade exhibition section has more than 60 companies exhibiting latest technologies and products from several countries, while the conferences are addressing practical issues of both polyurethane and rubber processing segments with more than 40 presentations by well-known experts.

A unique component of the event, the ‘polyurethane & rubber industry clinics’ are offering participants and visitors technical advisory services by well-experienced specialists.

The events come at a time when demand for rubber and polyurethane are growing in the UAE on the back of rising requirements from the construction and auto industries, transportation, appliances, furniture and bedding, packaging and textiles industries.
