Dubai 8 September 2016 - Arqaam Capital, the specialist emerging markets investment bank, today announced it has appointed Abdul Kadir Hussain to set up and head its fixed income asset management division.

Abdul Kadir is widely regarded as one of the leading fixed income asset managers in the region and various funds managed by him have won several performance awards over the past decade.  Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer of Mashreq Capital, where he had successfully set up and grown their Asset Management business over a 10 year period.  Prior to Mashreq Capital, he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse where he ran a proprietary book, investing in emerging markets and high-yield developed markets debt.  Abdul Kadir has an undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the Andersen School at UCLA and has been a CFA charter holder for the past 21 years.
