Dubai, UAE: Synology is participating in the 38th edition of GITEX Technology Week in Hall 7, B7-45, where it unveiled its latest innovations in storage, surveillance and networking technologies. Synology is looking to empower enterprises and home consumers in the Middle East market with a range of new and exciting solutions.

“Synology keeps creating an all-inclusive solution centering on storage, backup, network communication, and cloud services. We are also committed to simplifying complexities in IT operations and be able to deliver an effortless management experience to help organizations achieve greater agility. Users in the Middle East countries will definitely be benefited from our latest solutions,” said Nick Jheng, Sales Account Manager at Synology.

Centralized, license-free backup and instant recovery solution for physical, virtual, and cloud data

Synology introduces Active Backup Suite, which allows users to protect their data scattered across physical devices, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure on a single platform. The built-in global deduplication greatly reduces storage consumption and backup time. The exclusive integration with Synology Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) allows users to instantly restore services to the Synology storage server even when the production environment is down. The bare-mental restore (BMR) completely restores users’ entire environment, applications, settings and data on Windows computers and servers. Active Backup Suite is a license-free solution, making data backup much more affordable as a result.

During GITEX, Synology also demonstrates other comprehensive backup solutions. Within just a handful of clicks, Hyper Backup backs up data from Synology NAS to Synology C2, the public cloud service offered by Synology, adding another layer for data protection.

Smart surveillance for large scale and home deployment

Streamlining the deployment and management of large-scale surveillance, Synology is going to demonstrate a TV wall solution with 96 channels live views exploiting Visual Station VS960HD.  The ultra-compact VS960HD is not only perfect for monitoring a massive number of cameras at a glance but also easy to set up and manage.

With a flexible N+M architecture, failover servers can be paired with multiple recording servers, and vice versa. It provides flexible failover options and allows for automatic or manual transfer of services to the backup system during unexpected situations, minimizing the risk of data loss and making the surveillance environment more reliable.

In addition, Surveillance Station brings households new surveillance features. LiveCam turns users’ smartphones into IP cameras, allowing users record as they go without worrying about insufficient storage space. Time Lapse shortens lengthy videos down to minutes or even seconds, which is useful for showing a large-scale project from start to completion. Live Broadcast application enables users to live stream to YouTube with a simple setup process, allowing visitors to watch live footage without the need to install additional software.

The first Synology mesh router MR2200ac is equipped with the purpose-built operating system SRM 1.2. Aside from extended Wi-Fi coverage that offers a fast and reliable Internet connection, the intuitive interface also allows users to further understand, monitor, and protect their home network. The brand-new Safe Access package helps users to create a kid-friendly online environment and to have a full picture of how they’re exploring the Internet every day. Threat Prevention installs an additional layer of protection at users’ perimeter, even silently safeguarding the IoT devices on users’ network.
