Muscat: More than 45 persons of Arab nationality have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), for entering the Sultanate illegally and for violating the work and residence laws.

A statement issued online by ROP said: "The Criminal Investigations and Investigations Department, led by the Muscat Governorate Police, arrested 48 infiltrators of Arab nationality, on charges of entering the country illegally and violating the work and residence laws. Legal procedures are being completed against them."

In another incident, a person has been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), for drifting and displaying in his vehicle.

A statement issued online by ROP said: "Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command arrested a person on charges of drifting and displaying the vehicle on a public road and endangering others. Legal procedures are completed against him."
