Saudi Arabia's Al-Haramain high-speed train that started operating between holy cities of Makkah and Madina last October, will operate from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah from October 2019.

The announcement was made by the Kingdom's Minister of Transport, Nabil Al Amoudi, who said that the Al-Haramain train was launched by the Saudi Railway Co. (SAR) in cooperation with Makkah Authority. Al Amoudi added that the train service transported 360,000 Haj pilgrims this year, Argaam quoted Al Arabiya channel reports.

Al Amoudi added that the transport ministry is working with several government agencies, including the customs and passport authorities, to facilitate visitors' entrance to the Kingdom's airports, and develop terminals and airports.
