An unlicensed foodstuffs facility has been shut down by Sharjah Municipality.
Teams from Sharjah Municipality's food control division raided the facility and uncovered numerous health and safety violations.
The facility would produce roasted nuts and baked goods among other items.
Legal action will be taken against the perpetrators.
The economic department assisted the municipal team in the raid.
Sheikha Shatha Al Mualla,assistant director general for public health sector and central laboratories, as well as Omar Al Muhairi, head of the food control division,oversaw the raid operation.
