Muscat: The Sultanate's national carrier Oman Air revealed on Monday that it has resumed flights to the Iraqi city of Najaf.

This comes following its announcement on Saturday to say that it was suspending its flights to the destination indefinitely.

The airline made the following statement on Twitter: "Oman air announces that it will resume its scheduled flights to/from Najaf International Airport effective Tuesday July 17, 2018."

Oman Air reported on Saturday "Dear guests, due to Najaf airport’s closure, Oman Air has suspended operations to Najaf until further notice. Updates will be posted as soon as soon as more information becomes available."
