There is always a McDonald's store around us. Owing to its popularity, it is easy for fraudsters to use their brand name to scam customers.

McDonald's UAE has posted a message on their Facebook page warning customers to be careful of scammers who are trying to impersonate their brand name and dupe customers into buying coupon books with fake offers.

The easiest way to spot the fake offers, says the advisory, is to check if there is an error in the brand name on the voucher.

Giving an example, the advisory circles the brand name misspelt as 'MacDonalds'.

It is easy to lure the customers into buying the fake vouchers as it offers a free meal of burgers, soft drink and fries.

Shoppers are advised to be cautious and check the authenticity of the offer before paying for it. And the best way to be sure is to just call the McDonald's helpline to verify the offer.
