Dubai, UAE – LinkedIn, the world’s leading professional network, has announced the launch of its new business intelligence tool ‘Talent Insights’ to help talent professionals keep track of workforce market trends, identify talent pools, and understand how talent flows to and from peers.

LinkedIn’s first self-service data product, Talent Insights taps into its network of more than 575 million professionals, as well as over 20 million companies and close to 15 million active job listings to empower HR professionals, talent and acquisition managers with the data they require to make informed business decisions ranging from peer benchmarking and retention analysis to university recruiting.

Ali Matar, Head of LinkedIn MENA, launched the product at the 4th LinkedIn MENA Talent Awards that was toplined by Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi, UAE Minister of Culture and Development, and Dr Hayat Sindi, one of the world’s leading biotechnologists and senior advisor to the President of Science, Technology and Innovation at the Islamic Development Bank in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the launch of Talent Insights, Ali Matar said: “We have always looked at ways to offer products that enable businesses and professionals to benefit and engage on our platform. Providing information culled from publicly available data shared by our members, our latest analytics tool, Talent Insights, will revolutionise the way businesses search for specific talent pools as well as individual company details. The insights, matched with recruiters’ instincts, will inform strategic talent decisions and enable more productive conversations with hiring managers and executives.”

Talent Insights features two reports - one focused on people at a company called ‘Talent Pool’, and the other focused on data about a company titled ‘Company Report’.

Talent Pool lets businesses run searches across the LinkedIn database to understand where the most people with relevant qualifications are located, who’s currently employing them and what specific skills they have. For its part, Company Search provides insights into where a competitor’s main workforce resides, the talent flow by industry and skill, attrition, skill inventory and education.

“Our theme this year at the LinkedIn MENA Talent Awards was talent intelligence where the use of data and insight is primary to make people the competitive advantage. This fits in with our new proposition where we use dynamic data insights for business on talent pools and companies to get ahead of the trend. We congratulate all the finalists and winners on their achievements and wish them continued success,” added Ali Matar.

The 2018 LinkedIn MENA Talent Awards featured multiple categories, including LinkedIn’s recognition Award Thiqah Business Services, Top Social Recruiter on LinkedIn that had four winners including Emaar (UAE) Abunayyan Holding, KEO International Consultants, and Khatib & Alami. Smart Dubai and Thiqah Business Services won the title of Top Social Recruiter on LinkedIn while Careem (UAE), Abunayyan Holding (KSA), KEO International Consultants (Kuwait), The Kanoo Group and the Department of Culture and Tourism and CyTech (KSA) walked away with the accolades in the Best Talent Acquisition Team category.
